Podcasting is growing is growing at an impressive rate. Most people mark the start of its rapid popularity to the true crime audio series that captivated much of the nation in 2014. A more recent force driving consumption of podcasts are automobiles that now come equipped with internet access and blue tooth technology, the proliferation of smartphones and the ever-increasing diversity of content available free to consumers.

• 67 million Americans listen to podcasts monthly
• 42 million Americans listen to podcasts weekly (five times more than go to the movies
• Podcast fans listen to 5 shows per week
• The average listener subscribes to 6 podcasts

Podcasting Tips & Advice

I decided to add a new category to my blog called Podcasting Tips. I started my career in traditional radio. I then began replaying my radio show as a podcast and now I am 100% online with my podcast, “Up Close with Chris Tinney. I’m setting up a new studio and a new platform and a new RSS podcasting account and will be sharing everything I do from what equipment I buy to the how to get your show listed in iTunes, Google Play, IHeart Radio and more.
